Websense vs hack.org

I discovered by accident that the hack.org domain has been entered into Websense's Master Database of suspicious sites. They have categorized the hack.org domain under "hacking" which they define as:

Sites that provide information about or promote illegal or questionable access to or use of computer or communication equipment, software, or databases.

which is clearly preposterous if you compare it with the content of this site.

Websense provides some information about their Master Database on their site and also, helpfully, let's me know that I can suggest changes to the database.

I wrote this through their form on 2007-01-08:

By coincidence when my IT department was experimenting with Websense I found that at least one page of my home web site hack.org was categorized under what you call "hacking" in your database.

Although I find this rather humorous, I ask you to reconsider. Consider that you according to your web pages define "hacking" as "Sites that provide information about or promote illegal or questionable access to or use of computer or communication equipment, software, or databases" and the very purpose of my site hack.org is to tell people that there is an older subculture called "hackers" that has nothing to do with breaking anything, this simply can't be right.

Please take a look at

yourself.

My personal homepage is at

I have no way of checking if hack.org is still categorized, however. If someone can please check I would be much obliged. Please let me know at mc at the domain hack.org.
