Note well: mcwm is in maintenance mode. Since 2013 I use X only sparingly.
mcwm is a minimalist window manager for the X Window System written from scratch in C directly on top of XCB. It is a traditional floating window manager with a lot of features but without the bloat.
In mcwm all functions, including move and resize, are available from the keyboard but a pointing device can be used for move, resize and raise/lower.
% git clone http://hack.org/mc/git/mcwm
Note! The Git repo was unavailable and then with old data for a while during the summer 2015 due to a disk crash and old backups. Sorry about that.
Then send patches or pull requests to me!
Read more about the features.
